Marching Toward the World Brain: Chaos and Self-Organizing Networks

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
What if a computer network behaved like a brain? What if, based on activity and resources, a network re-arranged itself to the optimal configuration for a goal? I'll talk about my experiments in creating self-organizing decentralized computer networks that are programmable and have goals. We'll discuss issues like scalability, security and consistency and what networks like this could provide humanity in the future. We'll talk about how networks of this kind can help ordinary humans with information overload and provide intelligence to communities. A simulation and very basic demo will be shown for the first time demonstrating how we can implement these concepts today.
