If you're interested in running only Free/Libre Open Source applications on your Android phone, and also want your phone to be more secure than standard Android, Copperhead OS may be a good choice for you. The developers of Copperhead OS have taken the default build of the Android Open Source Project, and have hardened it for security in a number of ways, and have included the F-Droid repository of open source Android applications as the default application store. This talk will provide some background on Copperhead OS, explain some of its key features, describe some advantage and disadvantages of using it, and will provide encouragement to give it a try yourself.
