The FreedomBox project aims to enable everyone to run their own personal server. It runs on a number of low-power single-board computers, such as the Raspberry Pi. FreedomBox features a web interface that allows simple installation of apps including wiki, chat server, voice chat, news reader, and calendar. We are approaching our first stable release, in Debian Stretch, suitable to keep running over the long term, with minimal maintenance.
