An Experiment in Collaborative Art
This will be an event running all weekend, as a collaborative effort. Each participant will paint a 4 inch square canvas as a part of an overall larger piece. Each canvas will have points that connect to its neighbor. Each canvas will have the same points. Final placement will be decided by a dice roll. Since each participant is meant to take their individual canvas home, the completed piece of art will only be seen at the one moment when it is all brought together at Penguicon.

Homemade Ghostbusters PKE Meter on Raspberry Pi 2
In time for the GHOSTBUSTERS blitz last summer, my team at work was asked to make a demo for a homemade PKE Meter. Using the Raspberry Pi 2, 3D Printing, and a program that we open sourced we created a homemade device that emulates the PKE including a big screen that gives readouts and the ability to stream data to Azure Cloud. Along the way we also learned about real paranormal places in our home area of Philadelphia, hit some tech road bumps, and we visited some haunted locations to test our device out. I'll explain how to use the code to make your own device and how we can improve on this hack in the future.
